Interview Process

All of our roles generally follow a similar hiring process:

1. Application - How to Make Your Application Stand Out
2. 15 min Zoom Video Call with Adam
3. 60 min Zoom Video Call with Adam or another team member
4. Project Work
5. Project presentation to the team and in-depth discussion

Typically we get back to candidates within 24 hours of the interview to let them know if they are moving forward or not. And if at any point during the interview we feel like it is not a good fit, we will pause the conversation and let you know. We would rather not waste your time or ours.

How to Make Your Application Stand Out

We get hundreds and sometimes thousands of applications for each role. Despite those odds, it is surprisingly easy to stand out. Here is exactly how:

• Answer the application questions thoughtfully with your own words. Most applicants are using AI generated answers and they are very easy to spot. We love AI at Astrohaus but the application is where you need to show that you are genuinely interested in the role. AI responses are too generic and tell us you aren't willing to spend the few minutes to write a thoughtful response yourself.
• Write a cover letter that is specific to the role and why you are attracted to Astrohaus. A good cover letter will convey your passion for our products and mission and have your voice. It should not be long, explain every one of your qualifications, or sound too formal. It's very hard to be a perfect fit for a role. Use the cover letter to explain why your unique background combined with your passion makes you a good candidate.
• Have a visually appealing resume that is easy to read and highlights your skills and experience. Make sure your LinkedIn is updated and put the link at the top of your resume along with any other relevant links like a portfolio or personal website. Your resume does not need to look like a designer's resume (unless you are a designer) but it should show that you have some pride in your presentation skills.

Our hiring team reads every application question and cover letter. If you follow the above steps and are qualified, an interview is virtually guaranteed.
